We were able to support Alfie, a young patient well known to The Harley Jae Trust through his time in PCCU at Queens Medical Centre Nottingham University Hospitals.

Alfie had outgrown his previous chair, and despite efforts, no alternative funding was available. Through our extra support fund, we were able to purchase him a new Peapod chair, designed to better meet his needs.

This new chair has made a real difference — giving Alfie greater comfort, making it easier for his family to move him safely around the home, and helping him spend more time included in everyday moments with family and friends. A simple piece of equipment, but one that has significantly improved his quality of life.
